Positive and negative pressure thermoforming refers to a process in which both positive and negative pressure are used at the same time. Under certain temperature conditions, the power of positive and negative gases is used to blow thermoplastic materials into the mold to form the required shape. When the machine is running, pressure from the bottom is drawn from the top, which is the negative pressure at the bottom, plus the pressure from the top is added, that is, positive and negative pressure.

Negative pressure thermoforming refers to adding raw materials into a specific mold, and solidifying the raw materials in the specific mold through vacuum and pressure mechanisms to obtain the desired product shape. The negative pressure molding machine only evacuates the bottom and there is no pressure on the top.

Common accident types:

  1. The machine does not start: Check whether the input wire is smooth, the power wire is connected reversely, the voltage is not enough, etc.
  2. The blister forming film cannot be sucked in: first, the heating time is short or the heating temperature is not enough; second, the vacuum negative pressure is not enough.
  3. Rebound of the blister molding film: Due to the short blister time, incomplete solidification of the glue or poor quality of the glue, the heating blister time should be appropriately extended, the heating temperature should be increased or the glue should be replaced with better quality glue.
  4. When the blister molding film wrinkles on the workpiece panel: (1) The filter at the vacuum tube interface of the vacuum workbench is clogged, and the vacuum negative pressure is blocked and easily causes wrinkles. (2) When the quartz tube in the heating furnace plate is damaged, it is easy to cause uneven heating of the blister molding film, inconsistent surface tension of the blister molding film, and also cause wrinkles. The damaged quartz tube should be inspected and replaced immediately.
  5. What are water ripples and bubbles? What causes them? How to solve them?

Watermarks and bubble spots appear on the surface of the material. The generation of water ripples is related to the speed of film production. Bubbles are caused by excessively high temperatures during sheet production, mixed production of sheets, or air infiltration during sheet production. So carefully check the quality of the sheets you buy.

  1. Please read the instruction manual carefully and use and maintain the machine tool correctly as required.
  2. Make sure there are no foreign objects on the machine and equipment and keep the equipment clean.
  3. Check the water and electricity safety and reliability of the equipment.
  4. The machine needs to be reliably grounded to prevent leakage.
  5. All protective covers must not be opened during operation.
  6. Do not put your head and hands into the machine tool. You should be careful about the impact caused when the workbench exits.
  7. When leaving the machine tool, the machine must be completely stopped and the power supply turned off.

Emergency handling:

  1. If a fire occurs, cut off the power supply immediately and use a fire extinguisher to put it out. If necessary, evacuate quickly.
  2. If someone is injured, the machine should be stopped immediately for rescue, and the police should be called in time to seek medical assistance.
  3. In an emergency, the instructions for each emergency shutdown device should be followed.

PS (polystyrene): hard and brittle, colorless and transparent, with a softening temperature of 80°C. It is hard below 80°C and becomes softer above 80°C. It is flammable, has good water resistance, and its chemical stability changes with time. decreases as the temperature increases. In daily life, it is often used in food packaging such as instant noodle bowls and FamilyMart buckets, as well as transparent CD boxes.
